An easy-to-use GUI-based web solution empowers you to use this powerful advanced business texting solution from anywhere, at any time.

What number can I use for texting?

You can use your existing business landline or VoIP phone number. If you don’t have one or would like a new number, we can easily provide you with a new phone number.

Is it mandatory to sign up for both text messaging and a phone plan?

No, it’s not mandatory to sign up for both plans. You can either sign up for a texting plan and/or a phone plan. However, if you sign up for both plans you can take advantage of some superior services like Call to SMS, IVR to SMS, and IVR to SMS Text-Live.

Do you offer any discount for an annual upfront payment?

Yes, you can save up to 20% when you pay for a year upfront. You can use the toggle in our price plans to view the discount.

Is there any discount available if I don't want to pay the whole year upfront?

Yes, there are other options. Commit for one year, pay monthly, and receive a 10% discount. Commit for two years, pay monthly, and receive a 20% discount.

What phone number can i use?

The best phone number to use for texting with customers is your existing business phone number, whether it's a landline or VoIP, that your customers are already calling. By using the same number for both calls and business text messages, you’ll enhance communication efficiency and minimize confusion for customers trying to determine which number to call or text. TMMN supports U.S. and Canadian business phone numbers.

Can I bring all my contacts and messages that are currently in my existing platform to Text My Main Number?

Yes, you can! We’re happy to upload all your contacts and messages that are currently with existing platform. This way when you port to TMMN you’ll continue just where you left off.

What changes can I expect if I switch to Text My Main Number from another carrier?

When you switch to TMMN, your number will be ported to our network, allowing you to easily transition to our text messaging service instead of your previous carrier. You’ll find many familiar features, ensuring a comfortable experience, along with some additional functionalities that your old carrier may not offer. Enjoy the convenience of our web interface, mobile app, email-to-text capabilities, and more.

How much time does it take to transition from old carrier to Text My Main Number and is there any interruption in service?

We offer various contact options, including email and chat on our site. The porting process can take up to 24 hours, and in some cases, it may take a bit longer. We recommend initiating the porting process at least a week before the end of your current service month with your carrier. To get started, simply fill out the Letter of Authorization (LOA), which you can find here. Once we receive your LOA, our support team will open a ticket and keep you updated throughout the process. What if I want to text enable more than one number?

For a nominal fee, you can add an additional phone number to your existing plan. The following charges will apply for each extra phone number sharing the same plan:

  • Basic Plan: $20/month for each additional phone number
  • Essential Plan: $30/month for each additional phone number
  • Premium Plan: $50/month for each additional phone number
What is the 10 DLC One–Time Registration Fee?

Mobile carriers impose $4 total for the one–time Registration fees to send messages over a 10-digit long code (Business Phone Number in the US). TMMN passes on this one-time fee directly to the customer without any markup. Click here for more details about the 10 DLC program.

Are there additional carrier messaging surcharges?

No, we do not charge any additional carrier messaging fees to our customers.

How many messages do I need?

Each SMS counts as one message. For instance, if you send one SMS to 1,000 subscribers three times a month, you will need a total of 3,000 messages for that month. On the other hand, each MMS counts as three messages, so for the same volume and frequency as in the previous example, you would require 9,000 messages.

Do I get charged for inbound messages?

All inbound SMS messages are free of charge. However, inbound MMS messages that include photos or other media attachments will count toward your message total, with each MMS equating to three messages.

How many contacts can I have?

You can have an unlimited number or list of contacts. Add, edit, and store contacts in our business texting solution, just like your mobile phonebook. Import and export contacts at any time!

Is there any character limit for text messages?

The standard character limit for a single SMS message is 158 characters. However, with our long messaging feature, you can send text messages that exceed this limit. Keep in mind that carriers still count each message as 158 characters. For example, if you send a long message containing 474 characters, it will be counted as three messages."

Can I change or customize my plan?

Yes, you can change or customize the plan as per your requirements at any time.

What is API Access?

API access enables us to integrate our business texting solution with your existing system as well as other third-party applications. You can add API access as an additional feature to the Basic or Essential plan for $50 per month. However, the TMMN Premium plan includes API access at no extra cost.

Can I add multiple users or teammates?

You’re able to add as many multiple users as you’d like! Every plan comes with a specific number of users and each additional user costs $10 per month.

How do “Keywords” work?

Keywords can be set up within TMMN to trigger specific text responses when customers text those keywords. With keywords, you can grow your subscriber list, answer questions, run advertisements, and explore many other options. For example, you can set up the keyword 'info' so that when users text it, they receive an auto-reply with information about your services.

How many keywords can I have?

You’re able to have an unlimited number of keywords. Every TMMN plan comes with 2 keywords and each additional keyword costs $10 per month.

Which countries is your service available in?

Our business texting service is available globally, but we currently provide phone numbers exclusively for the USA and Canada.

Are residential clients able to obtain our services?

Yes, we do offer our services to residential clients, however, there are currently no free trials for residential clients.

I need a code from a third party, can I use TMMN’s services to obtain this code?

Our service is available for just $29 for clients—both residential and business—who wish to receive a one-time code. This offer is exclusively for inbound service, and outbound texting is not permitted.*Please note that we cannot guarantee the arrival of the code on our platform; it depends entirely on the third party sending the code. If the third party can text a landline or VoIP phone number, we can facilitate the delivery. Additionally, there are no refunds for this offer, even if it is later determined that the code could not be received.

Can I receive a message and a phone call at the same time?

Yes, the business text messages you receive on your landline will not interfere with your phone line. You can send and receive text messages even while your phone is in use, as TMMN does not disrupt your calls or affect your current phone bill. Our texting service operates independently of your phone carrier.

Can I send and receive PDF attachments?

Yes, you can send and receive PDF file attachments via text messages with our service.

Can I send Pictures and Videos?

Absolutely! MMS messages, including pictures, videos, and audio texts, are supported on Small Business plans and above. Plus, emojis are available on all plans! 🙌

How can customers text my business?

Customers can initiate a text message conversation by entering your business phone number in their mobile phone’s standard text messaging app, composing a message, and pressing send. It’s as simple as texting a friend—there’s no need to download a new app or sign up for a service.

How do I know when I receive a text message?

You can receive text messages through our web interface, mobile app, email, PWA, or via text forwarding to your cell phone. You’ll be notified through one or more of these channels, depending on how you’ve set up your preferences for messages received on your business phone number.

How do I receive OTP verification codes?

Yes, you can use your business phone number or VoIP phone number to receive an OTP (One-Time Password) verification code, provided that the third-party carrier can send texts to a business line.

Is the 14 day trial is really free?

Yes, we offer a 14 day free trial to new business customers.

Can i use more then one phone number?

Can I use a VoIP phone number?

Yes, you can use the phone number associated with your VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service to send and receive text messages.

How does subscription billing work?

TMMN is a subscription-based service, which means your plan automatically renews every month. We offer both term contracts and monthly options. If you're under a term contract, you can cancel your subscription by providing notice as specified in your contract terms, ensuring you understand any potential fees or conditions associated with early termination. For month-to-month plans, you can cancel at any time to stop the auto-renewal.

How many users can be on a single plan?

Each plan includes a set number of users:

  • Basic Plan: 2 users
  • Essential Plan: 3 users
  • Premium Plan: 5 users

You can also add more users at a cost of $10 per additional user per month.

What is the file size limit for MMS text messages?

You can send and receive pictures, audio, and video files via text messaging. Our standard MMS allows for regular file sharing, while our enhanced MMS feature enables clients to send larger files.

Allowed file types include:
.pdf, .docx, .doc, .xls, .xlsx, .csv, .mp3, .wav, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .bmp, .gif, .svg, .mp4, .qt

Max file sizes:

  • TMMN Enhanced MMS: Up to 50 MB (larger sizes can be accommodated upon request)
  • Verizon Wireless: 1.2 MB
  • AT&T: 1 MB
  • Sprint: 2 MB
  • T-Mobile: 3 MB
  • Other Carriers: 300 KB - 1 MB
